Information for immigrants and refugees.

The public libraries are open for everybody, and the services are free of charge.
The library can help you with danish courses for self study and litterature in your native language.

You can also:

  • loan books, CD´s, DVD´s and other materials
  • use the Internet
  • read or borrow newspapers and magazines
  • get information

How to use Langeland Library?

If you wish to loan material, we will issue a library card, and for that purpose you have to show legitimation, such as passport, drivers license or blue card. If you got a danish health insurance card, you can also use this card as a library card.

Library Catalogue.

You can search Langeland Library Catalogue (Danish version) from this page to find and order materials held by Langeland Library. You need a four digit pincode with your library card to order materials in Langeland Library Catalogue.
You can also order materials on www.bibliotek.dk (national catalogue, English version), where you find a much wider range of materials. You need to have a library card issued by Langeland Library to order materials from library.dk to be delivered to and fetched at one of the libraries on Langeland.
